I like owning a feature from the migration file all the way to the toast notification a user sees when it works. I am happy designing a Postgres schema in the morning, wiring up the API contract before lunch and refining the React state model in the afternoon. At Cobalt Health I built the patient reminders feature solo, from the scheduling tables and background worker through to the settings screen. It cut no show appointments by 22 percent across the first three clinics and saved the operations team an estimated ten hours of phone calls a week. I kept the rollout safe with contract tests between the API and the client so neither side could drift.
